The Tanglewood Cabernet Merlot is a pleasing and popular blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes from the vineyards of Tanglewood. The Merlot grape adds softness to produce a complex and refined wine.
The good summer heat in 2005 provided perfect ripening conditions to the grapes which resulted in fruit of excellent quality, particularly the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot which require warmth for ripe fruit tannins, with its deep ruby red color, the Cabernet Merlot 2005 delivers blackberry aromas from the cabernet sauvignon and with the ripe flavors from the merlot, creating just the perfect blend of fruit with a hint of spice.
