
The soft and fruitful Merlot grape, grown in the vineyards of Tanglewood in Australia, produces a flavor that ranges from purple plums to red cherries the red wine was used to produce the red wine Tanglewood Merlot 2004 which is in deep red color with intense food flavors. On the palate includes a a soft dry red with rich plumy fruit cake like flavors.
The Tanglewood Merlot 2004 was excellent with good color intensity and tannin ripeness. The warm weather towards the end of the growing season resulted in quick and early fruit ripening.
